Mission

To help the participants improve there skill level and to give the young people and basketball lovers of all ages in the city of Memphis a positive outlet during the summer.

This event will help take more then 3,000 kids off the street for three nights a week, giving them a constructive outlet. We strive to unite the city of Memphis: University of Memphis fans, Grizzlies fans, kids, adults, young, old, and everyone in-between.

The Bluff City Classic was born out of a desire to see young people realize, recognize and cultivate their talents on the basketball court, but the league is not just about development of basketball talents. There are teachable moments that afford nuturing of decision making and analytical thinking. It was Henry Ford who said, “The best investment you can make is to invest in the development of young people to reach their full potential.”
